Endowment for Emergency Medical Services & Related Transportation
How was the endowment started?
The Hot Springs Village Community Foundation (HSVCF) Endowment for Emergency Medical Services
and Related Transportation (EMS) was established in 2008 by Cedar Mountain Ambulance, Inc. (CMAI) to promote, improve and sustain
medical services and related transportation within the geographical area of Hot Springs Village and its neighborhood.
Gifts to the EMS Endowment are held in perpetuity by the Arkansas Community Foundation (ARCF) that
manages the assets. They distribute 5% of the balance annually to be used for worthy EMS projects.
How can I support the EMS Endowment?
You may do any of the following to support the EMS services:
- Make a direct contribution (of any size) to the EMS Endowment.
- Name the endowment as a beneficiary (generally a specific amount or percentage) in your will,
or codicil to your will, IRA, annuity, life insurance policy or other financial instrument.
- Purchase a Charitable Gift Annuity (through the ARCF), naming the endowment as a beneficiary - get an immediate
tax deduction, receive income in your lifetime and leave a gift to the endowment on your death.
For further information, call David Vink (501-922-6305), HSVCF Endowment Committee Chair.
