Description of Services

We are committed to providing, operating and maintaining an advanced life support (paramedic level) ambulance service (ALS) in and through, and over all roads, streets, avenues, alleys, sidewalks and public and common grounds of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.

Last year HSV EMS responded to over 2,000 requests for emergency ambulance service.

We also provide ambulance service outside the boundaries of Hot Springs Village to include the area on Highway 7 North from Glazier Peau to Highway 192, immediately outside the Balboa gate on Highway 5 and the area of the Cranford shopping district on Highway 5 as the need arises.

We provide three (3) twenty-four hour a day paramedic ambulances based in Hot Springs Village .

Each vehicle is fully equipped as needed in order to receive the Paramedic level rating from the Emergency Medical Services division of the Arkansas State Health Department.

Ambulance Transportation to Points Outside of Garland and Saline Counties

For an additional charge transportation outside of Garland and Saline Counties is available and can be arranged by calling 501-922-0011.

Ambulance Billing / Claims/ Collections

If you have a billing concern and questions you can telephone us at 800.832.6395 or email us. The POA does not administer any ambulance billing/claims/collections. If you question involves a transport prior to March 29, 2009, you will need to call HCAS at 870.451.0400

Service Locations and Response Time Standards

We provide competent and efficient ambulance service within the boundaries of Hot Springs Village , with a response time goal of no more than eight (8) minutes fifty-nine (59) seconds on ninety percent of the ambulance calls.

During CY 2008, 90% of the emergency calls were responded to in less than 9 minutes.

We provide emergency ambulance transportation for every patient requesting transportation to a hospital within the immediate area of the Hot Springs Village without regard to the patient’s ability to pay, without resorting to hand-offs of patients to less capable crews, and without requesting or accepting payment at the time of service.

We station ambulances at the following locations: (1) Calella Station Area, (2) Cortez Fire Station, and (3) Balboa Fire Station.

The Calella Station acts as our main base of operation inside the Village. In addition to housing our crew, it is also home to the Shift Supervisor and the Director of Operations.
